I'm moving!

Wow, lot's to type, but a little time to type it!

I have been hesitant to post about the sale of my house, but I have no reason to believe it won't go through now! YAY!!! I currently own a home that is just too much for me to handle. I am never around to give it the care it needs - especially the property. I have four acres, but only about an acre needs mowing. Well, that's an acre to much for me. Also, the house needs lots of TLC to get into selling condition.

In April, I came to the full realization that I just needed to give it up, and sell it, as is. I felt so much peace when I realized the best thing for me to do was to buy a Townhouse near work. As soon as I was comfortable with that and after looking at a few, I made some phone calls to people who had, in the past, shown interest in buying my house should i ever decide to sell it. My second phone call sounded pretty secure and this week we are going to contract for him to buy it. I am really excited!!

I will then sign a contract to buy a brand spankin new townhouse. I am so excited I can't hardly stand it. I've never lived in a Townhouse before, and never even really lived in an apartment, so I was a little leary. This neighborhood is really nice, and at least no one in on top of me or below me. The best thing???? I will go from a 33 mile commute, to 3. I will save $220 a month just on gas. I hope to also save about $200 a month on a smaller mortgage. Yay!

Star Struck

Ok, pretty much everyone knows my story about me having a twin -- Jaclyn Smith -- yes, from Charlie's Angels fame. During this past market, a coworker mis-took me for her, since I had just walked into the Jaclyn Smith Home showroom and was wearing similar clothes, had a similar hairstyle, same height, same shoe size. She said that at a quick glance, she thought it was Jaclyn Smith before realizing it was me. It quickly became the ongoing joke. Turns out, the next day I had to be her stand in to check teleprompter height, so the joke continued.

Well, yesterday while waiting for the train to Raleigh from High Point, I was talking to a few people at the station and then one woman said to me, "Has anyone ever told you that you look like Natalie Wood?"

Surprisingly, yes, someone HAD told me that a long time ago. I worked for a doctor a number of years ago, and he always said I reminded him of someone, but he couldn't put his finger on who. Well one day, finally, right in the middle of him being with a patient, he comes barrelling out to where I was and exclaimed, "BRENDA!!!! I just now FINALLY realized who you remind me of! You look like Natalie Wood!!!!"

What a riot. I didn't want to admit to him that I didn't really know what Natalie Wood actaully looked like, so I looked her up on the internet when I got home.

For those of you that also don't know what she looks like, here she is:

What do you think? Do you think I look like her?
